Choo began
selling his first shoe designs under the brand name Lucky Shoes in 1984. He was
joined in the business by his niece, Sandra Choi. Choo started a custom shoe
business under his name and opened his first shop in Hackney in 1986 in an old
hospital building. Within two years of opening his shop, Choo's shoes were
featured in an eight-page spread in Vogue magazine. Choo became the darling of the celebrity
world, in particular Princess Diana, who donned Choo's footwear seemingly
everywhere she went. His relationship
with Vogue magazine that would prove to be instrumental in the rise of the
Jimmy Choo brand. Choo also makes boots
which allow designers room for play.
Yeah. Everybody knows the fact that Princess Diana did wear
our very own, (Malaysia-born-and-raise shoe designer, the One of a kind Jimmy
Choo) shoe. But, do anyone knows how is that shoe looks like? The legendary
shoes that propelled Jimmy Choo brand to emerge as one of the top shoe designer
in the whole world.
